Wing Showdown contenders announced

Our mouths have been watering since the beginning of the Wing Showdown nomination process and now we're able to get down to business.


The 10 establishments for the 2011 Wing Showdown have been identified by voters on lehighvalleylive.com and our judges are heading out this week to begin finding the best wings in the bunch.


Judges Kelly Huth, Joseph P. Owens and the mysterious Masked Muncher return for the third eating tour this year on the heels of the cheesesteak and pizza showdowns. The trio will chomp on chicken wings at a different place each week -- with a few breaks for the holidays -- leading up to the winner to be crowned the week before the Super Bowl. They plan to sample traditional Buffalo wings and one specialty flavor at each stop.
