Palisades High School baseball team beats Bangor 12-6

The Palisades High School baseball remained in the hunt for a Colonial League wild card berth with a 12-6 win over Bangor Area High School earlier today.

The Pirates improved to 7-7 overall and 6-5 in the league, while Bangor dropped its fifth-straight game, falling to 7-8 overall and 6-7 in the league.

Palisades senior center fielder Logan Boone went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. His two-run single in the bottom of the fifth capped a five-run inning as the Pirates extended their advantage to 10-4.

All but one Palisades player crossed home plate as Pirates' hitters came up with clutch two-out hits all afternoon.

Brett Wagner went 2-for-3 with an RBI double in the fourth and three runs scored for the Slaters.
