Lafayette senior forward Jared Mintz and Freedom High School graduate Andrew Stein, a junior center at NYU, have been named first-team Jewish basketball All-Americans by Jewish Sports Review.
Mintz, a 1,000-point scorer for Lafayette, made the Division I first team for the second straight season. The Toronto native led the Leopards in scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (5.8) this season.
Mintz is joined on the Division I first team by Jake Cohen of Davidson, Bryan Cohen of Bucknell, Chris Wroblewski of Cornell and Zach Rosen of Penn.
Stein was named to the College Division first team, which includes players from NCAA Division II and III and NAIA schools. He averaged a team-leading 17.3 points for the Violets while finishing 12th in Division III field-goal shooting (62.8 percent). He was named to the All-University Athletic Association first team.
Stein is joined on the first team by Jon Greenberg of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Will Tashman and Mitchell Kates of MIT and Jess Winter of SUNY-Cortland.
