Easton Farmers' Market to open May 7

On May 7, the Easton Farmers' Market returns to Centre Square with its first National Herb Day Festival.

On opening day, Mayor Sal Panto Jr. and Pennsylvania state Rep. Bob Freeman will host a 9 a.m. ribbon cutting, according to a news release. The Asphalt Orchestra will march through the square at 9:30 a.m. in honor of the market and the Lafayette College Art in the Urban Environment Festival, also opening May 7.

Doug Hawk and Eric Doney will perform live during the National Herb Day Festival. Children's activities and EFM's new mascot, "Sunny" the Horse, will be on hand.

The market will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May through November.
