Manager Charlie Manuel announced the opening day roster when the Philadelphia Phillies host the Houston Astros on Friday afternoon.
According to a report on philly.com, the Phillies will turn in the following roster prior to the Thursday morning (11 a.m.) deadline:
Starting pitchers (5): Righthanders Joe Blanton, Roy Halladay and Roy Oswalt; lefthanders Cole Hamels and Cliff Lee.
Bullpen (7): Righthanders Danys Baez, Jose Contreras, David Herndon, Kyle Kendrick and Ryan Madson; lefthanders Antonio Bastardo and J.C. Romero.
Catchers (2): Carlos Ruiz and Brian Schneider.
Infielders (6): Ryan Howard, Michael Martinez, Pete Orr, Placido Polanco, Jimmy Rollins and Wilson Valdez.
Outfielders (5): Ben Francisco, Ross Gload, Raúl Ibañez, John Mayberry Jr. and Shane Victorino
