Upcomming Events for the Nazareth Arts Center:

Brittany Tranbaugh | The Lucas Joseph Collective
January 7, 2011 | 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Brittany Ann is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Easton, Pennsylvania. A
lifelong singer and folk music enthusiast, she picked up her father's old guitar

around the age of 10 and taught herself to play...and it was love. Now a
sophomore at Temple University, she is taking the Philly scene by storm with her

trademark ethereal melodies, intricate finger-picking, and "wise beyond her
years" lyrics. Visit her site to learn more and listen to her music.
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Lucas Joseph (Ballasy), 19, produces a brand of
music appealing to a wide audience, one without the limits of age or genre. His
synthesis of rock, country, folk, soul, and jazz creates a distinctive sound
marked by signature gravelly vocals, infectious lyrics, and catchy melodies. In
Lucas Joseph Collective’s first CD release entitled “All Directions” each song
creates an interesting palette of melodies and lyrics reflective of his personal

artistry. Mixed with Lucas’ strong emotional energy and memorable stage
presence, his original songs are instinctively interpreted by his band. Learn
more and listen.

After surviving a tedious audition round of America’s Got Talent in New York
City (in a 2008 episode that was never televised), judge Sharon Osborne
described Lucas, also a 2008 two-time Apollo Theater winner, as an interesting
combination of Bob Dylan and Stevie Wonder. It is exactly this merging of folk
and soul that, combined with his naturally raspy vocals and expressive lyrics,
makes Lucas’ tunes so unique.
Free Admission, $10 Donation Suggested.4 Blind Mice & Friends
January 8, 2011 | 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.

Showcase Series. Connie has sang the National Anthem for some crowds of over
10,000, on at least 5 separate occassions for multiple professional sporting
events, and has had the honor of performing at the world famous, legendary
Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC. Over the past twenty years she has performed with
numerous bands and has partnered with many others performing duets and trios. To

kick off the New Year, one lucky attendee will win a complete set of 7 Hohner
Chicago Blues Harps (harmonicas) in a case as a door prize (valued at $115)
generously provided by one of the night's performers.
