Snow again plays havoc with local schedule, but Whitehall's Hall of Fame on

This is getting to be monotonous.

Once again winter weather is playing havoc with the local sports schedule. It's the second time this week and the fourth time in eight days that snow has forced school's to cancel classes and most extra-curricular activities.

One event that will be held Friday night as scheduled despite the school cancellations is Whitehall's Lehigh valley Conference boys basketball home game with Bethlehem Catholic and the school's Hall of Fame activities.

Whitehall athletic director Bob Hartman announced in an e-mail Friday morning that the game and Hall of Fame events as well as the girls basketball game at Becahi are on as scheduled.

Hartman had said Thursday he was "confident that our maintenance staff will do a great job, as they normally do, getting campus cleaned and ready to go for Friday night.

"We have many traveling a great distance to be a part of this event, some already in town … Even if school is cancelled tomorrow, we plan on having normal events on Friday," Hartman added.

Also on as scheduled is Wilson's Colonial League boys basketball game at Bangor.
