Slight change in CCHS ticket sales, plus pep rally info

From Keith Groller

Starting Wednesday, tickets for Central Catholic's state title game on Friday night against Bishop McDevitt will be sold in the Masson Hall lobby off 4th Street, rather than in the athletic office. The change was made to make it easier for people to get in and out of the building.

Tickets are still avaiable from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.and cost $8 for adults, $4 for students. There is no senior citizen discount. All tickets at the gate cost $8.

Students interested in going on a fan bus should sign up ASAP in the school's buiiness office.

Also, the school has announced there will be a pep rally/sendoff for the team on Friday at Rockne Hall between 12:55 and 1:25pm. It's primarily for students, but I don't think any CCHS fans will be turned away.

In other CCHS news, the state title game prompted a change in the basketball schedule. The girls and boys basketball teams will now be playing a doubleheader at Dieruff on Thursday night with the girls slated to start at 5:30 and boys to follow at 7.

And on Saturday, there will now be a boys junior high game, not a JV game, preceding the varsity boys game between CCHS and Danville. At the moment, there is no JV team for the CCHS until the football/basketball players return to the hoops team. Saturday is also Wall of Fame ceremony day with the festivities set to begin around 4:15 p.m. with the varsity game to follow at about 4:30.
