Nazareth advances to 2nd round....beats Williamsport 63-24!
Millionaires go broke in Nazareth! Nazareth ran over Williamsport tonight at Andrew S. Leh Stadium. The defense was solid all night only giving up 24 points. The offense was even tougher.....often times scoring on one play drives. The offense was so effective in the 63 point effort that even when trying to run out the clock towards the end they broke free and scored touchdowns. I hate to name names because I think everyone was solid all night, however, there were a few with very big plays. Jeremy Klump was solid all night, making tackles, catches and returning kickoffs. Richard Tonnies had a hand in almost everything on the defensive side of the ball. He even did a little running on offense and scored a TD. Of course Chuck Dibilio once again stepped up in a big way. He ran for 335 yards breaking his own record for most rushing yards in one game. He also scored 7 TD’s. That was not a single game record but it tied the record. When was the last time it happened? The Blue Eagles 3rd season in 1928. Thats right a 82 year old record!
