Having split the last two District 11 Class AA girls tennis doubles finals, Moravian Academy and Southern Lehigh are accustomed to meeting at Westend Racquet Club.
In 2010, the Spartans duo of Robyn Ferraro and Morgan Oechsle proved to be too much for Monica Gupta and Catherine Rau of Moravian Academy in the 6-1, 6-2 victory.
"They really volleyed well, they served well, they returned well. They just beat us," Lions coach Tom Schoeninger said. "We tried to mix it up, change things around. It worked for a little bit but the opponents were just too tough."
The Southern Lehigh partners advance to the PIAA Class AA doubles tournament on Nov. 5-6 in Hershey.
