Northern Lehigh High School's football team ends Wilson's six-year home win streak

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Cody Remaley rushed for 260 yards and four touchdowns and Northern Lehigh used a powerful second half to end Wilson's six-year, 34-game home winning streak with a 52-36 victory today in an early-season Colonial League football showdown at Smith Field.

Remaley also became the Colonial League's all-time leading rusher. His second straight 200-yard plus performance gives him over 4,700 yards as a Bulldog. He scored his four TDs on runs of 51, 5, 11 and 80 yards. Jake Kern had a big hand in the Bulldog victory, shutting down Wilson wide receiver Kowan Scott in the second half after the Warrior star had burned Northern Lehigh for five catches for 131 yards.

The Wilson loss also ended the Warriors four-year Colonial League win streak at 24 games.

Wilson quarterback Chris Cooper, in just his second varsity start, completed 16 of 26 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns. A total of 227 of those passing yards came in the first half, when Cooper was 10-for-11.
