Picking the NFL games, again.

Didn't do so well last year. Less than 40 percent against the spread. Even by accident, I should have been at least 50 percent.

Didn't get off to a great start on Thursday night. I had the Saints winning, which was good. I had the game being low scoring, which was good. But I took the Saints to win by more than 5.5 points and they won by 5.

Amazing how those Vegas guys so often come close to getting the exact spread on a game. Also, amazing how the Saints dropped sure TD passes and missed chip-shot field goals to keep it a 5-point difference.

Conspiracy? Fix? No, I'm just saying it's amazing how those guys always come close to the exact number.

Here we go for Week 1 and Rico, no, I am not studying more this year. These are off the cuff at 11:30 Sunday morning. Hoping to get 80 percent outright, and 60 percent against the spread and on the over/unders. Not likely, but I am hoping. Rams fans can dream can't they?
