Dieruff girls continuing worthwhile "Queen of the Court" program

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Last spring I did a column on a very worthwhile program the Dieruff High girls basketball team is running -- for free -- at the Cumberland Gardens Gym on Allentown's South Side. It's all about getting more kids interested in playing sports and getting involved in the school community.

It's called "Queen of the Court" and the Dieruff girls are going to run it again over the next several weeks.

Besides reaching out to future players and helping the community, the weekly activities are good unity-building exercises for the Dieruff players as the start of the 2010-11 season rapidly approaches.

Here are the details sent along to me by assistant coach Bob Ardle.
