FROM THE MORNING CALL
The Big Ten Conference kicks off College Football Eve with a major announcement Wednesday night. The conference will announce the divisional breakdown of its 12-team football league, which begins when Nebraska joins in 2011.
The conference plans a 90-minute special at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the Big Ten Network to make the splashy announcement. Commissioner Jim Delany will be joined by several conference athletic directors in breaking down the divisions. They also plan to announce football schedules for the next two seasons.
ESPN.com is reporting the divisions will shake out this way. If so, look for Penn State to have a protected annual game with Nebraska.
