SUNDAY'S SPORTFEST SCHEDULE

FROM KEITH GROLLER

''I didn't do too badly on my Sweet 16 picks for the final day of the SportsFest boys basketball tournament.

If you look back to my post early Saturday morning, I got 13 of the final 16 correct, missing only on Pottstown, Becahi and Salisbury. Those three are in, and three of my picks -- Central Catholic, Hempfield and Downingtown West -- are out. Nice that we have seven local teams in the final 16.

I'd love to predict an Allen-Liberty championship game tonight because that's the game everyone wants to see, especially since Darrun Hilliard is back with the Hurricanes. It would attract a huge crowd. But there are a lot of good teams still left, so it won't be an easy road for either the Canaries or Canes to get those three wins needed to get into the championship game at 7.

Hope to start getting a few scores on here soon before I attempt to play something resembling golf at The Morning Call's Larry O'Rourke "Drive Against ALS" event today at Bethlehem Muni.''

But here's the schedule of what was take to place this morning in the boys varsity "A-town Throwdown" tourney:

Round of 16

9 a.m., Easton vs. North Penn and Liberty vs. Nazareth of Brooklyn

10 a.m., Octorara vs. Salisbury and Wissahickon vs. Springfield-Delco

11 a.m., Pottstown vs. Bensalem and Reading vs. Constitution.

12 noon, Allen vs. Becahi and Emmaus vs. Freedom.

The 9 and 10 a.m. winners were going to play quarterfinal games at 1 p.m.

The 11 a.m. and noon winners will play quarterfinal games at 2 p.m.

Semis are set for 3 and 4 p.m.

Title game at 7.
