Lehigh Valley splits two games in Carpenter Cup softball

From Keith Groller

No information was either phoned in or e-mailed to me, but it looks from the Phillies' Carpenter Cup website like the Lehigh Valley team split its two games on the first day of competition on Monday.

They won the first game against the Philadephia Public Schools by a 12-6 score (no surprise there) and then lost the second game to Berks County, 11-2.

So, they now return to FDR Park in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. against Delaware South.

They would need to win that one and two more games later on Wednesday to advance to Monday's semis.

If we get any individual information, I will pass it along.
