A new coach has been selected to lead the Easton Area High School girls basketball team.
Heather Gaumer, formerly Heather Morgan, has been named the new varsity coach, according to an e-mailed news release from Athletic Director Jim Pokrivsak.
Gaumer replaces Jerald Brown, who stepped down in April because he is moving to Texas. It was Brown's first year as coach.
Gaumer, who is recently married, has worked in the girls basketball program at Easton for a few years, both as a paid coach and a volunteer, Pokrivsak said. She is a math teacher at the high school, where she has worked for nine years.
The Red Rovers finished last season with a 13-10 record and a berth in the District 11 Class AAAA playoffs.
