FLYERS COVERAGE ON COMCAST SPORTSNET

The first four games of the second-round NHL series between the Flyers and the Bruins will be on national television, starting today on NBC.

However, Comcast SportsNet wanted me to let you know that Philly's all-sports channel will have extensive pregame and postgame coverage and everything you need to know about the orange and black.

Live Games, Pre- and Postgame Programs and Online Exclusives Highlight Playoff Coverage


PHILADELPHIA (April 29, 2010) – Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports coverage, today announced the network’s Flyers programming for the NHL conference semifinals. Comcast SportsNet’s Flyers audience continues to grow through the postseason, with first-round playoff coverage averaging 152,000 households, or a 5.3 rating, a 6% increase over the 2009 conference quarterfinals and a 144% increase over the 2009-10 regular season ratings average. Flyers Pregame Live ratings are up 75% from the regular season and Flyers Postgame Live ratings are up 127%.


The Ultimate Goal

Comcast SportsNet’s Flyers playoff special, The Ultimate Goal, continues into the second round. Local hockey experts including Rick Tocchet, Bill Clement, Al Morganti, Steve Coates, John Boruk and Chris Therien break down the game and offer their analysis on the series. The Ultimate Goal will air on Sunday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.; Tuesday, May 4 at 10:30 p.m.; Thursday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.; Sunday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.; Tuesday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.


Tocchet’s Take

Former Flyer Rick Tocchet will be hosting live chats on CSNPhilly.com during the 2nd period of every Flyers playoff game, plus he will appear on every Flyers pre- and postgame program as well as The Ultimate Goal. His Flyers vlog “Tocchet’s Take” is available on CSNPhilly.com.

Playoff Game Coverage

In addition to airing three second round playoff games, Comcast SportsNet will air Flyers Pregame Live and Flyers Postgame Live for all games throughout the playoffs. All Flyers second round playoff games airing on Comcast SportsNet will also replay the following day at 1:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet.
