To Our Nazareth Wrestling Family:
We have some bad news to share with everyone. Sally Murphy died at home this morning at approximately 10:00am surrounded by her loving family. Pat is in the process of making the final arrangements which we will share with you at the appropriate time. Pat would also like for you to know that he is starting a scholarship fund in the honor, memory and name of Sally. This would provide scholarship monies to a deserving graduating Nazareth wrestling senior each year. He knows that this is something that would make Sally very happy -- to give back to someone else. I agree. Preliminarily, I think that the "Sally Murphy Memorial Scholarship" would be an appropriate name for it. Please consider donating to this fund/cause in lieu of flowers as a positive way in which we may honor a truly great woman whom EVERYONE loved, respected and admired. The details of this are forthcoming. I was also thinking... wouldn't it be great if her "wrestling family" could endow this scholarship in her name.
