Nazareth’s Jon Hendershot was featured in an article in the Express-Times discussing the track and field high jumpers.
Hendershot finished 2nd in the Indoor State Championships this winter and is off to a great start having cleared 6’9” this past Monday. The region record is 7’1/4”. Only three jumpers in the region have ever cleared the 7’ mark.
Liberty’s Stephen Lewis cleared 6’10” and the two will meet in competition April 26. Both are in the top ten all time from the region.
