Congratulations to Phillies announcer Scott Franzke and his wife, Lori, who became first-time parents to son, August. August was born Thursday, April 22nd at 10:13 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces.
Jim Jackson will take over Franzke’s radio duties until the Phillies return to Philadelphia on Thursday.
It was good timing for Jackson, who also handles the play-by-play announcing for the Flyers. Since the Flyers eliminated the Devils a few days ago, there was no conflict in his schedule.
