HOLIDAY SHOWS ON PCN

PCN will celebrate the holidays with sounds of the season from around the state on December 24.

The special seasonal programming will begin at 8:00 p.m. with the 2008 Moravian Vespers Service from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. Courtesy of Blue Ridge Communications TV 13 in Lehighton, this special program shows the Moravian Church celebration of the holiday season through a musical service with no sermon called a Singstunde followed by a candlelight service.

Following the conclusion of the Vespers Service at 9:00 p.m. will be special holiday music from the Jubilation Ringers. The production is courtesy of Service Electric TV2 in the Lehigh Valley.

The Hazleton Philharmonic Orchestra will make its fourth statewide appearance on the network starting at 10:00 p.m. thanks to WYLN-TV in Hazleton which provided the production.

New to this year’s holiday musical lineup is the Pittsburgh Youth Pops Orchestra concert entitled, “Sounds of the Season.” The production will make its debut at 1:00 a.m. on Christmas morning with additional encore presentations slated to air through the early and late morning hours.
