2009 WPIAL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS: The Highway to Heinz Ends With Championship Friday

The trip on the Highway to Heinz comes to an end on Friday, November 27th as eight teams reach the final destination on the North Shore of Pittsburgh. Eight teams that have all been to Heinz Field and the WPIAL football finals this decade. For Aliquippa and Clairton, they are trying to hoist WPIAL gold for a second straight year. For teams such as Woodland Hills, West Allegheny, Hopewell and Rochester, it has been a few years since they won their most recent district title. For Gateway and Greensburg Central Catholic, they yearn for gold after having to settle for silver in recent years.
