Nazareth Area High School assault under investigation

Nazareth Area High SchoolPolice say three female Nazareth Area High School students will likely face charges for assaulting a fellow student Friday.
Police said the girls, who were not named because of their ages, assaulted another girl about 11:30 a.m. in a hallway outside the school's cafeteria. The victim sustained injuries in the attack, including a blow to the head, police said.
The victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injures then released, police said.
The girls responsible for the attack will likely face charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
Nazareth Area High School Principal Alan Davis has not returned multiple phone messages seeking comment.
