RANKINGS

With just three more weeks left in the regular season after this weekend, more and more focus will be on the district rankings.

First of all here is how the teams earn points.

You only earn points when you win and then the system works this like:
Class AAAA

100 points for WIN over a Class AAAA opponent
80 points for WIN over a Class AAA opponent
60 points for WIN over a Class AA opponent
40 points for WIN over a Class A opponent

Class AAA

120 points for WIN over a Class AAAA opponent
100 points for WIN over a Class AAA opponent
80 points for WIN over a Class AA opponent
60 points for WIN over a Class A opponent
Class AA

140 points for WIN over a Class AAAA opponent
120 points for WIN over a Class AAA opponent
100 points for WIN over a Class AA opponent
80 points for WIN over a Class A opponent
Class A

160 points for WIN over a Class AAAA opponent
140 points for WIN over a Class AAA opponent
120 points for WIN over a Class AA opponent
100 points for WIN over a Class A opponent

And then of course there are the power points. This gets confusing to a degree because you're dependent on the teams you beat winning games and the more they do, the better you are:

Team A picks up 10 points for every win its opponent earns, PROVIDING Team A has defeated Team B. Example: TEAM A (AAAA) 4-0 defeated TEAM B (AAAA) 2-2 TEAM A gets 100 basic points plus 20 power points because to-date TEAM B has 2 wins. Obviously, the more wins your opponent earns during the season, the more power points your team will receive.

Hope that helps.
