Healthcare and Glenn Beck have the Steaming Cup, steaming. Joe Owens is good with the notion that all people should have healthcare, but is finding it difficult to believe that the government will have the most cost-efficient solution able to provide the level of service Americans desire. Additionally, he appears to be a bit fed up with the numerous folks on TV, Radio, and Touring who rally the troops for whatever cause they favor.
Which of the myriad of topics of Bernies should I recap? Lehigh Valley Ramblings is local, but diverse. I’m not surprised to see a few posts on Allentown Mayoral candidate Tony Phillips, some Northampton County pieces, including one that notes over 700 homes are up for sale by the county for failure to pay taxes and the county is ‘working on’ notifying the homeowners prior to the sale. There are few posts on the budget debacle in Harrisburg and some on 9/11.
Maker Diaries has a show down between the new Hobby Lobby and Michaels. For those do it yourselfers, there is a new option, closer to home (for those in Nazareth), but is it better? That is what the folks at Maker Diaries examined.
Tatamy Happenings has a very good recap of the latest Council meeting. Making me feel guilty for not getting to more of those taking place in Nazareth.
Weird Nazareth has a great photo of tree resembling a pig and provided photos of a hot air balloon that touched down in the school parking lot on Monday. Not sure how we missed that one being so close ourselves, but we did. Nice pictures!
So there you have it, the local sites that were active this week. If you know of others that blog from or about Nazareth, let me know!
