Penn Stoners Win Friday night!

The Stoners defeated Sonoma County SOL 3-1 to advance to the NPSL final this Sunday at 12:30pm. Goals by Pat Cucci, Adam Welch, and Tom Ehrlich were too much for the SOL who pressed for their equalizers non-stop. Keeper Sam Bishop was credited with nine saves including a diving one hander to tip a rocket over the crossbar with the match tied at 1-1. Welch scored the game winner in the 65th minute following a Stoners corner kick and the ensuing goal mouth scramble for the finish. Ehrlich drove home the final nail in the 90th minute after taking a beating all game from the SOL defenders. Matt Baker tallied two assists on the Cucci and Ehrlich goals.
