Can't believe how fast this year went.

I Remember being all excited about getting hired in August and here we are during my final week.

Mr Lesky really made a boy smile when he submitted my name in August!!!!

I have Picked up a GIRL Basketball Game Saturday so I Can enjoy working while it last.

Depending on the Budget I May pick up 1 or 2 more Girls Games too to make this go long as possible before I am bored at home again.

That will depend on the Budget though, will find out next week if I Can do a couple more GIRLS GAME.

Wrestling finished up at Home last night.

Boys Basketball only have 3 more home games.

I Hope Ross Nunamaker understands why I Picked up a Girls Game Saturday night instead of the Art Center.

I Want to enjoy my Nazareth job as long as possible before it not here no more until next year.

NASD to build "spiteful" fence around LNES

According to the article in the Morning Call, NASD is leaving behind a "goodbye gift" for the residents who fought the installation of the three acre Commercial solar array on Residential zoned property in Lower Nazareth.

This move by the board can only be described as spiteful. This is somewhat similar to the neighborhood kid who doesn't get his way so he takes his ball and goes home.

Back in early 2008, I was at a NASD board meeting when a friend of mine asked about the possibility of erecting a fence around the Shafer playground. His concern was that the playground was relatively open and given the number of sexual predators (as registered by Megan's Law and easily determined by anyone with a computer) near Shafer, he was concerned for the children's safety. The boards response to that request?....

Not necessary. Too expensive.

Yet now, the board is more than willing to spend the money (estimated by some to be approximately $30-40,000) to erect a fence just to "spite" the neighbors who got the school and township to realize that zoning laws matter. That is, you cannot construct a commercial enterprise in a residential zoned area.

The school district had NO case and no legal standing to build a commercial solar array on residential property. Let me give you a simple example that I think will help those who didn't understand this situation:

I like hamburgers. I have a large property with property behind my house (next to my neighbors). What if I decide I want to lease my "extra" property to Five Guys so they can build a restaurant there and in return, they'll give me a break on the price of hamburgers? You think that would fly with the zoning board?

If NASD goes through with building this fence, I think they need to consider fences around Shafer and Bushkill too...

Updated: High school sports postponements

FROM THE MORNING CALL

Thursday night's Easton at Phillipsburg wrestling match has been postponed because of the weather, Easton announced Thursday morning.

The match will now be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Phillipsburg. Easton also announced that it will sell any remaining tickets for the match at its high school athletic office from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday. Tickets are $5 each (cash only).

Other events rescheduled from Thursday include:

Allen at Easton boys basketball is now Feb. 5 at 12:30 p.m.

Easton at Allen girls basketball is now Feb. 5 at 12:30 p.m.

Easton at Allen swimming is now 5 p.m. Feb. 14.

Salisbury at Liberty in rifle is now at 4 p.m. Friday.

Palisades at Salisbury in girls basketball is now at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 12.

Northampton at Whitehall in swimming is now at 4 p.m. Friday.

My name is Katie Bigalke, and I am a counseling psychology doctoral student at The University of Southern Mississippi. I am requesting the participation of mothers of children in active cancer treatment to complete the following study. The purpose of this research is to gain a better understanding of factors that may influence the stress that parents of children with cancer experience.

Please forward this information on so that we can gain the perspectives of as many mothers of children in active cancer treatment as possible. A one dollar donation to pediatric cancer research will be donated for every completed survey. Your privacy is important to us, therefore this study is completely confidential. Not many people recognize What cheerleaders do, they put it many hours just like Athletes do!!

3 Days in a row working at Nazareth!!

Wrestling last night, Basketball Tonight and Saturday and then Monday night again!!!!!

Next Friday will be my finale.

Can't believe how fast this year went.

I Remember being all excited about getting hired in August and here we are during my final week.

Mr Lesky really made a boy smile when he submitted my name in August!!!!

I Really want to thank him, He really made me believe I Can hold a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Will be sad next week, that for sure.

I have Picked up a GIRL Basketball Game Saturday so I Can enjoy working while it last.

Depending on the Budget I May pick up 1 or 2 more Girls Games too to make this go long as possible before I am bored at home again.

That will depend on the Budget though, will find out next week if I Can do a couple more GIRLS GAME.

Wrestling finished up at Home last night.

Boys Basketball only have 3 more home games.

I Hope Ross Nunamaker understands why I Picked up a Girls Game Saturday night instead of the Art Center.

I Want to enjoy my Nazareth job as long as possible before it not here no more until next year.

I WILL BE A THE ART CENTER AGAIN STARTING NEXT SATURDAY WITH THE LARGE FLOWEHEADS!!!!!!!!!
