NEW YORK – June 4, 2010 – NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2010 Stanley Cup Final resumes this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET when the Chicago Blackhawks host the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 5. The Blackhawks lead the series, 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled for Friday night in Philadelphia. If Chicago wins Game 4, they will have an opportunity to win the Stanley Cup on home ice with a victory in Game 5 on NBC Sports. If Philadelphia wins, the series will be tied heading into the crucial fifth game.
Dan Patrick joins NBC Sports’ coverage as event host for Game 5 from United Center in Chicago. He will also host Games 6-7, if necessary. Mike “Doc” Emrick (play-by-play), who is calling his 12th Stanley Cup Final, Eddie Olczyk (analyst) and Pierre McGuire (inside-the-glass reporter) will call the action. McGuire will pull double duty, hosting NBC’s studio show alongside analysts Mike Milbury and Jeremy Roenick.
EMRICK: “I am so impressed with the athletes in this Final. Training camp began for these teams in September. The Blackhawks started their season in Finland, were in first place in November and never let up. The Flyers started in Raleigh, were next to last in the conference but rallied back to make the playoffs on the last day of the season. Then throw in the Olympics and the playoffs. It’s impressive to me the level of performance we are seeing and the sacrifice. It’s true athleticism.”
MCGUIRE: “The series is becoming more and more physical. The teams are building a little disdain for each other. They only played once during the regular season and the animosity levels are up. Forechecking has become an important weapon for Philadelphia and that leads to exciting hockey because of collisions and turnovers. You can see that Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are getting more comfortable for Chicago. The crowd will be a big factor for the Blackhawks on Sunday.”
VIEWERSHIP: The 2010 Stanley Cup Final Game 2 between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Philadelphia Flyers – played on Memorial Day – was watched by 5.89 million viewers making it the most-watched Stanley Cup Game 2 on record and up 10 percent compared to 2009’s Game 2 (5.35 million; Detroit vs. Pittsburgh), which was not played on Memorial Day weekend. Game 2 also posted a 3.3/6 rating, tied with 1999 as the highest-rated Game 2 in 35 years (3.5/13 on NBC, 1975, Buffalo vs. Philadelphia) and up six percent vs. last year (3.1/5).
Game 1 viewership of 4.43 million was the most watched in 11 years (5.07 on Fox, 1999, Buffalo vs. Dallas) and up three percent vs. 2009 (4.29). Game 1 registered a 2.3 rating, equal to Game 1 last year. Hockey helped NBC win the night (A18-49) in primetime both nights.
REMAINING SCHEDULE: Games 4 will be played at Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center and will air on VERSUS tomorrow night. In addition to Game 5, NBC Sports will broadcast Games 6-7, if necessary. Following is the remaining Stanley Cup Final television schedule (all times ET):

SPECIAL EVENT:
Lafayette College will host the seventh annual Lauren's First and Goal Football Camp at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Metzgar Athletic Complex on Sullivan Trail in Forks Township.
More than 1,200 high school football players are expected to participate in one day of offensive and defensive instruction coached by about 250 volunteer college coaches representing schools throughout the Northeast. Coaches from the Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants and New York Jets will also be participating.
U.S. Naval Academy head coach Ken Niumatalolo will be the featured guest speaker, and former Lafayette player and current Cleveland Browns linebacker Blake Costanzo will also be in attendance.
The camp is one of the largest one-day football camps in the country and all proceeds benefit Lauren’s First and Goal Foundation. The foundation provides financial support for brain tumor research and cancer services, offers financial and emotional support to families living with pediatric cancer and increases awareness of the disease.
The foundation is named after 13-year-old Lauren Loose, whose father John is the defensive coordinator for the Lafayette football team.

Ex-janitor at Holy Family School in Nazareth charged with stalking, harassing student
A janitor at the Holy Family School in Nazareth was arraigned today on charges of stalking and harassing a female student, according to court documents.
An arrest affidavit alleges John A. Simak, 67, of the 600 block of Bowers Road, Bushkill Township, repeatedly approached a girl and attempted to start a romantic relationship.
The document claims he told the student both in conversation and notes that he loved her and wanted to kiss her. Simak allegedly told the girl he wanted to exchange e-mails so they could keep in touch once she graduated, the affidavit said.
Simak lost his job soon after the school was made aware of the alleged situation and police were contacted, said Matt Kerr, a spokesman for the Diocese of Allentown.
"The school acted immediately and I think correctly," Kerr said. "The school is cooperating completely with the investigation."
The student was not identified in the affidavit except to say she was under the age of 16. The school serves kindergarten through eighth-grade students.
When reached at their home this afternoon, Simak's wife, Patricia Simak, said she knew her husband had been questioned by the school and police, but was unaware of the charges and his arraignment.
Patricia Simak said she was told by her husband the girl had originally approached him and that he never did so much as shake her hand.
"I don't know who harassed who in this case," she said, adding that the couple is active in their church.
John Simak was charged with stalking, attempted corruption of a minor, disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment. He was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bail.
Kerr said Simak was only employed at the school this year. The school performs background checks and training for anyone in contact with children, he said.

Catasauqua claims first District 11 baseball title since 1997
No. 6 seed Catasauqua completed an improbable playoff run this evening, riding seven strong innings from Joe Taves and a four-run second inning to an 8-2 win over No. 4 Pine Grove in the District 11 Class 2A baseball final at Coca-Cola Park.
Taves struck out nine and limited Pine Grove (15-8 overall), the three-time defending district champion, to two runs and seven hits in his complete-game win as the Rough Riders captured their first district title since 1997. They will play the winner of Thursday's District One Class 2A title game between Devon Prep and New Hope-Solebury in a PIAA Class 2A state first-round game Monday.

Pius X High School prevails in District 11 Class A baseball final

Slumping Phillies waste another strong pitching effort in 2-1 loss to Braves
Omar Infante came in for injured Chipper Jones and lined a two-out, run-scoring single in the eighth inning to back Derek Lowe's best outing of the season, leading the Atlanta Braves to their eighth straight win, 2-1 over the slumping Philadelphia Phillies today.
The Braves finished off a three-game sweep of the defending NL champions and increased their lead in the East Division to 2 1/2 games as they headed off on an 11-game road trip that could determine if they're a true contender for their first playoff appearance since 2005.
Lowe (8-4) went eight innings in his longest outing of the season, allowing six hits and the only Philadelphia run. Billy Wagner worked a scoreless ninth for his ninth save. Jose Contreras (2-2) took the loss.
The offense-challenged Phillies wasted a strong outing by Kyle Kendrick, who surrendered five hits and a run in the seven innings. Philadelphia never led in the series against the Braves and has failed to score more than three runs in a game while losing nine of its last 11, including four in a row.

IronPigs snap six-game losing streak in Toledo
TOLEDO, Ohio — Perhaps the IronPigs should consider playing all their games in the morning.
Neil Sellers' first Triple-A home run highlighted a nine-run outburst for Lehigh Valley over the first two innings, and four relievers combined for 6 1/3 scoreless innings in an 11-6 win over Toledo Wednesday afternoon that snapped a season-long six-game losing streak.
The game began at 11:15 a.m. after a 40-minute rain delay, and the win was the third this year for the IronPigs (19-33) in so-called Education Day games (they had won both such games at Coca-Cola Park). It is also their fifth straight victory over two years in games that began before noon.
Before the game the Phillies announced that outfielder Dewayne Wise has exercised a June 1 out clause in his contract and has become a free agent.
The IronPigs banged out 16 hits, 10 of them in the first two innings as they chased Alfredo Figaro (4-2) after just 12/3 innings. All 10 hits came with two outs to produce all of the early runs.
The IronPigs three hottest hitters — Sellers, Andy Tracy and Melvin Dorta — continued their surges.
Sellers, who hit a combined 36 homers the last two years at Double-A Reading, followed three straight singles, including a run-scoring hit by Cody Ransom, with a three-run homer. The red-hot Sellers later added a ninth-inning single, giving him seven multi-hit games in his last 10 starts, and he's now 17-of-37 (.459) over his last 11 games and 21-of-60 (.350) in his last 16.
Tracy went 3-for-5 and is now 9-for-17 in six games since returning from a shoulder strain and is hitting .339 over his last 16 games, raising his average from .198 to .251.
Dorta had two hits and knocked in two runs and is now 10-for-27 (.370) in his last 11 games.
John Mayberry Jr. added three hits, including a two-run home run in the sixth to provide some big insurance runs.
Toledo (30-23), which had an eight-game home-win streak snapped, answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning against Brandon Duckworth, but the IronPigs bounced back with four more runs in the second, again all with two outs. Mayberry, Tracy, and Ransom all had RBI singles before Dorta capped the inning with a two-run single.
The Mud Hens chased Duckworth with a three-run third that cut the deficit to 9-6, but Ryan Vogelsong came in to get the final out of the inning, then combined with Alex Concepcion, Oscar Villarreal and Mike Zagurski to blank Toledo the rest of the way on six hits.

Nazareth Center for the Arts Update
June Gallery
Mary Colette Campagna's art work is featured in the Gallery of the Nazareth Center for the Arts for June. She does Giclee art, which is her photos transferred onto canvas that look like an oil painting. She is bringing mostly floral canvases to coordinate with June's Garden Tour. Her artist reception will be Friday June 11, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Garden Tour
The Enchanted Garden Tour is one of four annual fundraisers to support the operation of the Center. Six unique gardens in and around Nazareth, including the Center itself, will feature art, music, and light refreshments. The tour runs from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on June 19 (rain date June 20). Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Donahoe Farms, Nazareth Floral Design, Copiers Inc, and through our online box office at www.nazaretharts.com

· Friday, June 4: Guitar Villa Presents The Locksmiths, featuring Andrei Maurer. Andrei is an accomplished instructor at Guitar Villa and he will dissect and explain the theory behind the music you will hear his band play. Free Admission.
· Saturday June 5: Lester Hirsh. Grammy nominated guitarist, singer/songwriter, and poet will perform on a Spanish 6 string and acoustic 12 string guitar. His style ranges from classical, county, and folk to Brazilian Jazz and Flamenco. Free Admission.
· Saturday, June 12: Sharon Norris, whose professional career was spawned on the cabaret scene of Manhattan, returns to the music scene with a more sophisticated sound borne of life experience. Tickets $10 available online and at Mitch’s Market in Nazareth (New and Belvidere).

Palisades, Emmaus advance to title games in District 11 softball
Krista Morrone and Sarah Faust, two of the hardest-throwing pitchers in local softball, both came to Pates Park on Tuesday night for the District 11 semifinals coming off stellar quarterfinal-round performances.
But only one stayed hot.
While Morrone tossed a five-hit shutout in Palisades' 1-0 win over Saucon Valley in a 3A semi, Faust couldn't find her stride in a 9-2 Nazareth loss to Emmaus in a 4A final four contest.
So, Morrone and the Pirates advance to Thursday's 5 p.m. 3A title game against Southern Lehigh, while the Green Hornets will play Stroudsburg -- a come-from-behind, 8-7 semifinal winner over Easton -- in the 4A finals that will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at Pates.
''It just wasn't our night,'' said Nazareth coach Michelle Schoeneberger, whose team won the Lehigh Valley Conference title and then beat Northampton 1-0 in the quarters behind Faust's no-hitter, a gem that included 17 strikeouts.
''You can make a million excuses for it, but it is what it is,'' Schoeneberger added. ''Emmaus came out hitting Sarah today. She wasn't on her game today, but that's softball.''
Nazareth defeated Emmaus 6-4 in the LVC semis 15 nights earlier. But even in that defeat, the Hornets made her work.
''Our girls didn't mind seeing [Faust] again because they know they can battle her and can hit her,'' Emmaus coach John Eyer said. ''We just made too many mistakes in the field the last time we played them and that's why we lost.''
This time, the Hornets were stinging from the beginning.
Leadoff batter Sami Ashley had three hits and scored two runs and winning pitcher Kayla Kresley hit a home run in the fourth.
The night ended better than it started for Kresley, who was coming off a shutout quarterfinal-win over Pleasant Valley, but had to sit out the first two innings for an unspecified infraction of team rules.
''She understood what she did wrong,'' Eyer said. ''Nicole Golembeski [another sophomore] came in there and pitched two scoreless innings for us in place of Kayla and that's all we wanted.''
Kresley said she learned from her mistake and was eager to atone for it.
''It bothered me not to be able to start,'' Kresley said. ''But I accepted it and I really did learn from my mistake. I couldn't wait to get out there and when I did, I knew what I had to do. The home run was so exciting for me.''
Emmaus (16-7) had a baserunner in every inning.
Ashley led off the game with a double and scored on Bri Howell's sac fly.
A wild pitch scored the second run in the third inning and Kresley's homer over the fence in left made it 3-0 in the fourth. The Green Hornets then put it away with three runs apiece in the fifth and sixth.
Nazareth was shut down on two hits until it scored two runs with help from an error in the sixth.
''Our girls kept battling,'' Schoeneberger said. ''It was 9-0 and they were still trying to chip away. They can hold their heads high.''
The Blue Eagles finished 17-7.
Meanwhile, Emmaus is guaranteed of two more games because District 11 gets two 4A teams in the state tournament.
''I am not surprised,'' said Eyer, whose program has won four district titles since 2000. ''We've been playing such great ball over the bottom half of the season. I knew we had the bats, I knew we had the ability and I knew we had the heart to win this one.
''We have a young team and it's going to be a great experience for them to get into the state tournament and see what it's all about.''
But first things first.
''We can't win to come back here on Thursday and go for the district title,'' Kresley said. ''It's going to be exciting.''
The Palisades-Saucon game was an exciting pitchers' duel for 61/2 innings.
But Mary Beth Sadow's single to right with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh sent the Pirates on to Thursday's 5 p.m. 3A title game against Southern Lehigh -- a 2-1 winner over Pottsville in the other 3A semifinal.
Palisades, enjoying the greatest era in program history thanks to the amazing Morrone, is in the district finals for the third straight year. The Pirates won the 2008 district title but lost to Becahi in last year's championship game
''It feels great to be in the finals three years in a row,'' said Morrone, who was coming off a one-hitter with 21 strikeouts in a 1-0, 11-inning win over Wilson in the quarters. ''I feel really good right now. I'm really loose and everything is coming together at the right time.''
Morrone allowed five hits, walked none and fanned 13. She helped herself by throwing out a runner at third on a delayed steal attempt in the fourth after the first two Saucon hitters had singled.
Saucon Valley senior Colleen Garrity matched Morrone through six innings and took a one-hitter into the seventh.
But in the seventh, an error at shortstop on Sam Sherrard's grounder started the game-winning rally. Taylor Rundatz followed with a single to left. The runners moved up on a wild pitch.
Morrone was then walked intentionally to load the bases. Sadow, a senior headed to West Chester, ripped a 2-1 pitch down the line in right.
It would have gone for at least a double and two runs, but one was all that Palisades needed to return to the finals.
Just like the Palisades' victory, Stroudsburg's win over Easton was attained with a big hit down the right-field line in the bottom of the seventh.
Stroudsburg's Caitlin Noyes had missed batting in recent games because of a fractured foot, but on Tuesday night, Noyes' bat broke Easton's heart.
Her single down the right-field line with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning capped a wild, 8-7 come-from-behind win for the Mounties in the District 11 4A semifinals at Pates Park.
The game, which ended at about 11:20 p.m., was a classic. The Mountain Valley Conference champs (19-5) rallied from an early 5-0 deficit to take a 7-5 lead, and then shook off the disappointment of having the Red Rovers (15-8) tie the game with two outs in the top of the seventh.

''My girls came to battle,'' said proud Stroudsburg coach Maynard Frantz. ''I think the girls were a little nervous being at Pates Park for the first time and dug a big hole. But they battled, battled and battled.''

But only one stayed hot.
While Morrone tossed a five-hit shutout in Palisades' 1-0 win over Saucon Valley in a 3A semi, Faust couldn't find her stride in a 9-2 Nazareth loss to Emmaus in a 4A final four contest.
So, Morrone and the Pirates advance to Thursday's 5 p.m. 3A title game against Southern Lehigh, while the Green Hornets will play Stroudsburg -- a come-from-behind, 8-7 semifinal winner over Easton -- in the 4A finals that will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at Pates.
''It just wasn't our night,'' said Nazareth coach Michelle Schoeneberger, whose team won the Lehigh Valley Conference title and then beat Northampton 1-0 in the quarters behind Faust's no-hitter, a gem that included 17 strikeouts.
''You can make a million excuses for it, but it is what it is,'' Schoeneberger added. ''Emmaus came out hitting Sarah today. She wasn't on her game today, but that's softball.''
Nazareth defeated Emmaus 6-4 in the LVC semis 15 nights earlier. But even in that defeat, the Hornets made her work.
''Our girls didn't mind seeing [Faust] again because they know they can battle her and can hit her,'' Emmaus coach John Eyer said. ''We just made too many mistakes in the field the last time we played them and that's why we lost.''
This time, the Hornets were stinging from the beginning.
Leadoff batter Sami Ashley had three hits and scored two runs and winning pitcher Kayla Kresley hit a home run in the fourth.
The night ended better than it started for Kresley, who was coming off a shutout quarterfinal-win over Pleasant Valley, but had to sit out the first two innings for an unspecified infraction of team rules.
''She understood what she did wrong,'' Eyer said. ''Nicole Golembeski [another sophomore] came in there and pitched two scoreless innings for us in place of Kayla and that's all we wanted.''
Kresley said she learned from her mistake and was eager to atone for it.
''It bothered me not to be able to start,'' Kresley said. ''But I accepted it and I really did learn from my mistake. I couldn't wait to get out there and when I did, I knew what I had to do. The home run was so exciting for me.''
Emmaus (16-7) had a baserunner in every inning.
Ashley led off the game with a double and scored on Bri Howell's sac fly.
A wild pitch scored the second run in the third inning and Kresley's homer over the fence in left made it 3-0 in the fourth. The Green Hornets then put it away with three runs apiece in the fifth and sixth.
Nazareth was shut down on two hits until it scored two runs with help from an error in the sixth.
''Our girls kept battling,'' Schoeneberger said. ''It was 9-0 and they were still trying to chip away. They can hold their heads high.''
The Blue Eagles finished 17-7.
Meanwhile, Emmaus is guaranteed of two more games because District 11 gets two 4A teams in the state tournament.
''I am not surprised,'' said Eyer, whose program has won four district titles since 2000. ''We've been playing such great ball over the bottom half of the season. I knew we had the bats, I knew we had the ability and I knew we had the heart to win this one.
''We have a young team and it's going to be a great experience for them to get into the state tournament and see what it's all about.''
But first things first.
''We can't win to come back here on Thursday and go for the district title,'' Kresley said. ''It's going to be exciting.''
The Palisades-Saucon game was an exciting pitchers' duel for 61/2 innings.
But Mary Beth Sadow's single to right with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh sent the Pirates on to Thursday's 5 p.m. 3A title game against Southern Lehigh -- a 2-1 winner over Pottsville in the other 3A semifinal.
Palisades, enjoying the greatest era in program history thanks to the amazing Morrone, is in the district finals for the third straight year. The Pirates won the 2008 district title but lost to Becahi in last year's championship game
''It feels great to be in the finals three years in a row,'' said Morrone, who was coming off a one-hitter with 21 strikeouts in a 1-0, 11-inning win over Wilson in the quarters. ''I feel really good right now. I'm really loose and everything is coming together at the right time.''
Morrone allowed five hits, walked none and fanned 13. She helped herself by throwing out a runner at third on a delayed steal attempt in the fourth after the first two Saucon hitters had singled.
Saucon Valley senior Colleen Garrity matched Morrone through six innings and took a one-hitter into the seventh.
But in the seventh, an error at shortstop on Sam Sherrard's grounder started the game-winning rally. Taylor Rundatz followed with a single to left. The runners moved up on a wild pitch.
Morrone was then walked intentionally to load the bases. Sadow, a senior headed to West Chester, ripped a 2-1 pitch down the line in right.
It would have gone for at least a double and two runs, but one was all that Palisades needed to return to the finals.
Just like the Palisades' victory, Stroudsburg's win over Easton was attained with a big hit down the right-field line in the bottom of the seventh.
Stroudsburg's Caitlin Noyes had missed batting in recent games because of a fractured foot, but on Tuesday night, Noyes' bat broke Easton's heart.
Her single down the right-field line with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning capped a wild, 8-7 come-from-behind win for the Mounties in the District 11 4A semifinals at Pates Park.

The Blue Eagles fall 20-5 to Downingtown East,ending their season at 21-2
Moments after stepping off the bus, Lindsay Whipple knew she and her Nazareth girls lacrosse teammates had their hands full against Downingtown East.
Warm-ups passed, and Whipple counted just one dropped ball by the Cougars, who used crisp passing and a patient, methodical attack to end the Blue Eagles' season Tuesday night with a 20-5 win in a PIAA first-round matchup at Memorial Field at Emmaus. Downingtown East meets the winner of Radnor and North Penn on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.
''Their stick skills were a lot better than ours,'' Nazareth coach Jen Nolan said. ''They took smart shots. Their goalie made some incredible saves. But again, we shot right at the goalie. We made her look like an MVP.''
The real difference-maker for the Cougars was junior midfield/center Kelly Devlin, who controlled the game at the draw and in the box.
Devlin's technique in the draw is flicking the ball over her head so the opponent has to run through her.
''I normally look to get it to one of my offensive players,'' said Devlin, who finished with four assists and three goals, including the last of 10 straight in the first half to enforce a running clock. ''Sometimes I'll just draw it to myself and try to look for the pass upfield.''
No matter what she did, Nazareth had trouble winning possession, never able to get a read on where the ball was headed.
''Just getting possession is the whole game,'' Whipple said. ''If we had possession more than they did we would've won the game.''
Nazareth cut the deficit to 14-5 with 13:03 to play after seniors Whipple and Alexandra Edwards scored back-to-back goals in less than a minute.
Whipple and Edwards combined for five goals and seven assists in the District 11 final win against Emmaus last week. Tuesday, Downingtown East's possession and checking stifled the Blue Eagles' top scoring threats.
Edwards said the Cougars' defense was patient, chipping away at the ball instead of swinging hard on one check.
Patience also keyed the Cougars' attack 4 sophomore attacker/midfield Haley Nelson even found time to tie her shoe during a possession.
''We've been working on discipline,'' Devlin said. ''In getting not the first cut but the open cut so we have a wide open-goal if we can.''
Edwards called the Cougars (19-5) the toughest team Nazareth faced all season.

''We had our heads knowing we had to play some of the toughest teams in the state,'' Whipple said. ''Coming out here, we know they played from elementary school on. And we just started as a JV-varsity program.''
Despite the tough ending to its season, there were no tears or looks of dismay on the faces of the Nazareth players.
''Not every coach ... not every player can say that they lost their first game of the season, they lost their last game of the season, but they had 21 wins in the middle,'' Nolan said.

2010 Nazareth Softball season came to a upsetting end with a 9-2 loss to Emmaus.
Girls Lacrosse also ended their year 20-5 to Downington East.
Girls, you put on a great and exciting year for your buddy and to everybody else,
I Will never forget this amazing year.
Thanks for the ride all of you put us on this school year!
Something special these teams did this year, It was incrediable!
I Will miss Krista Ammon and Alexa Sylvanis, Hillary Dilsaver and the whole SENIOR Group. Thanks to all of them for being part of this year!

I Wanted to go to SOFTBALL So bad Tuesday but the RAIN Kept acting up and we didn't want to go all the way to Allentown and then the game be called off.
I Feel bad though now that they lost, If I Was there, we would of won.
I Went to Legion Baseball instead.
Did you see in the newspaper last week where a dissability boy got a job from somebody writing about him in the newspaper?
His Dad was worried he would never find anything because he disabled.
He was hired at a Thrift Store ojn Route 191.
It was either in the Express or the Morning Call.
How can he get a job so easy and I Been looking now for 2 years.
Its really fustrating.
I Really think nobody likes to hire Disabled People.
Thats wrong if that the case.
We can do as many things as a normal person can.
Just because we are in a wheelchair does not mean we can't hold a regular job.
I Was happy for that boy in the newspaper, I Think his name was Conan, something like that.
Somebody out there, PLEASE Give me a opportunity out there, you would be so amazed on how well I Can do something!
Just give me a chance.
I Want out of my HOUSE, Atleast for 4-6 hours per day.
Listening to my dogs all day and my mom scream at them is driving me crazy.
I Really wish Judy Swigart my High School Principal was still in the area.
She would be trying so hard to have me working in one of the Nazareth Schools.
Maybe not a paying job but something just to Volunteer just to get my House!

Emmaus routs LVC champ Nazareth, 9-2, 4A softball semis
What a difference 15 days made for the Emmaus softball team in its mini-rivalry with Nazareth.
When they last met on May 17 in the Lehigh Valley Conference semis, the Green Hornets beat the Blue Eagles 6-4 at Pates Park.
Same two teams, same location, but a different tournament and a very different result unfolded on Tuesday night.
Lead-off batter Sami Ashley had three hits and scored two runs and Kayla Kresly hit a home run to spark Emmaus to a 9-2 victory in the District 11 4A semis at Pates Park.
The win not only earned the Green Hornets (16-7) a spot in Thursday night's title game, but also secured a state playoff berth.
Emmaus was relentless offensively against Nazareth sophomore pitching star Sarah Faust, getting a baserunner in every inning.
Ashley led off the game with a double and scored on Bri Howell's sac fly.
A wild pitch scored the second run in the third inning and Kresly's home run over the fence in left made it 3-0 in the fourth. The Green Hornets then put it away with three runs apiece in the fifth and sixth.
Nazareth was shut down on two hits until it scored two runs with help from an error in the sixth.
The Blue Eagles, the LVC champs, finished 17-7.

Nazareth Area High School girls lacrosse eliminated from PIAA Tournament
The Nazareth Area High School team was one-and-done in the Blue Eagles first-ever trip to the PIAA playoffs thanks to a 20-5 loss to Downingtown East at Emmaus High School.
Nazareth (21-2) started the season with a loss and won 21 straight before Tuesday evening's defeat to the fifth seed out of District 1.
The Blue Eagles were District 11 champions.
Downingtown East (18-5) plays the winner of Radnor and North Penn in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Senior Christine Stevenson and sophomore Haley Nelson led the Cougars with five goals apiece.
Seniors Alex Edwards and Lindsay Whipple each scored twice for Nazareth.

Palisades beats Saucon Valley 1-0 in 3A softball semifinal
Mary Beth Sadow's single to right with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning drove in the game's only run as Palisades edged Saucon Valley 1-0 in the District 11 3A softball semifinals at Pates Park on Tuesday night.
The win sends the Pirates (19-5) on to the district final for the third year in a row. They will play Southern Lehigh -- a 2-1 winner over Pottsville on Tuesday -- at 6 p.m. Thursday back at Pates Park.
Palisades won the 2008 district title, but lost to Becahi in last year's championship game.
Krista Morrone, coming off a 1-hitter with 21 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Wilson in last week's quarterfinals, pitched seven more scoreless innings for the win. She allowed five hits, walked none and struck out 13.

District 11 softball semis: What's going to happen next that we haven't seen before?

I've been covering local high school softball for a long time and can't remember a year with more strange twists and turns than this one.
You had that bizarre situation at Pates Park a few weeks ago when the wrong pitching rubber was dug up and the wrong distance was used during the Lehigh Valley Conference semis.
And then you had that crazy, 15-14 game at Saucon Valley the other day when Becahi led 4-0, 6-2, 10-6, 14-10 and just fell behind once at 15-14 and that's when Mother Nature conspired against the Golden Hawks and play was halted and couldn't be resumed.
What's next? Well, something strange is bound to happen today as District 11 holds seven more games -- six semifinals in classes 2A, 3A and 4A and the 1A championship game.
I am hoping that the storms stay away and all the games can be played as planned.
But those of us who have been covering this stuff know better. It's going to rain and we're going to have delays and postponements. I just know it.
With the exception of that football score at Saucon Valley, there was plenty of good pitching in last week's quarterfinals.
I have a feeling the top hurlers will be on again today.
Here's how I see it:
Class 4A
I've already predicted a Nazareth-Easton final here, so I won't change now.
Emmaus battles Sarah Faust as tough as anyone, but I will still take Nazareth over Emmaus 3-1. Stroudsburg is the lone Mountain Valley Conference team left and a darn good one. A lefty pitcher can be quite effective in a big game and Stroudsburg has a good one in Jess Berger. The Mounties are tough and Ed McIntyre never enjoys Pates Park, but Easton has been the area's best team over the past month and may have too much offensive firepower. Rovers 5-3.
Class 3A
Finally, I get to see a Palisades-Saucon Valley matchup. Krista Morrone has her act together after that dominant performance against Wilson, but the Panthers are much tougher than the Warriors. I still think Morrone is the deciding factor and Palisades will generate enough offense to return to the district final. Pirates 6-2.
Pottsville survived five errors to beat Blue Mountain in the quarterfinals. Southern Lehigh has been hard to figure and has a few holes in its outfield defense. I predicted the Lady Tide to win this class and won't change now. Pottsville 5-3.
Class 2A
Pine Grove is tough. Hope Spancake is a strong pitcher who beat Pen Argyl in last year's district final. And that Green Knights offense was much tougher than this year's version. Bill Schankel and his staff have done another outstanding job, but Cardinals continue toward another district gold, 4-0.
Palmerton has been one of the most remarkable stories of the year. The Blue Bombers have arrived as a solid program and will stay around for several years to come. Northern Lehigh, however, has been playing excellent softball in recent weeks and has too much of everything for Palmerton. Northern Lehigh 4-2.
Class A
Don't know a thing about either team except that Minersville has won more district titles than anyone else (16). These two have combined for the last six Class A titles and nine of the 11 since the A classification began in 1999. Battlin' Miners 4-0.

2010 Nazareth Softball season came to a upsetting end with a 9-2 loss to Emmaus.
Girls Lacrosse also ended their year 20-5 to Downington East.
Girls, you put on a great and exciting year for your buddy and to everybody else,
I Will never forget this amazing year.
Thanks for the ride all of you put us on this school year!
Something special these teams did this year, It was incrediable!

I Wanted to go to SOFTBALL So bad Tuesday but the RAIN Kept acting up and we didn't want to go all the way to Allentown and then the game be called off.
I Feel bad though now that they lost, If I Was there, we would of won.

His Dad was worried he would never find anything because he disabled.
He was hired at a Thrift Store ojn Route 191.
It was either in the Express or the Morning Call.
How can he get a job so easy and I Been looking now for 2 years.
Its really fustrating.
I Really think nobody likes to hire Disabled People.
Thats wrong if that the case.
We can do as many things as a normal person can.
Just because we are in a wheelchair does not mean we can't hold a regular job.

2010 Nazareth Softball season came to a upsetting end with a 9-2 loss to Emmaus.
Girls Lacrosse also ended their year 20-5 to Downington East.
Girls, you put on a great and exciting year for your buddy and to everybody else,

I Wanted to go to SOFTBALL So bad Tuesday but the RAIN Kept acting up and we didn't want to go all the way to Allentown and then the game be called off.
I Feel bad though now that they lost, If I Was there, we would of won.
I Went to Legion Baseball instead.
Did you see in the newspaper last week where a dissability boy got a job from somebody writing about him in the newspaper?
His Dad was worried he would never find anything because he disabled.
He was hired at a Thrift Store ojn Route 191.
It was either in the Express or the Morning Call.
How can he get a job so easy and I Been looking now for 2 years.
Its really fustrating.
I Really think nobody likes to hire Disabled People.
Thats wrong if that the case.
We can do as many things as a normal person can.
Just because we are in a wheelchair does not mean we can't hold a regular job.
I Was happy for that boy in the newspaper, I Think his name was Conan, something like that.

Niemi, Blackhawks beat Flyers 2-1, take 2-0 lead

CHICAGO (AP) Antti Niemi's days of driving a Zamboni are long gone. Instead of cleaning the ice as he once did in his native Finland to make a few extra bucks, he's clearing away pucks and hoping to help the Chicago Blackhawks hoist the Stanley Cup.
Niemi made 14 of his 32 saves in the third period and Chicago beat the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 Monday night to take a 2-0 series lead. Game 3 is Wednesday night and Game 4 is Friday, both in Philadelphia.
This was a different game from the opener when Niemi let in five goals in the Blackhawks' 6-5 win.
"I think our 'D' played maybe a little bit better in front of the net in blocking shots and letting me see the puck," Niemi said. "But it's always a little bit about the luck, too, how you see the puck, and how it bounces."
Game 2 took on a different tone from the outset.
Defenses were tightened. Bodies were flying and tempers flaring. There was one striking similarity - Chicago's young stars Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane again failed to account for a point, but the Blackhawks still won.
It was Niemi's last-period performance that really brought the raucous crowd to its feet when the puck finally slid down the ice and the Flyers wouldn't score in the final 1:44 after pulling goalie Michael Leighton for an extra attacker.
They chanted Niemi's name and nearly drowned out an on-ice interview.
"It's unbelievable feeling how the people react," Niemi said. "Defense was the key."
Chicago broke the scoreless tie when Marian Hossa and Ben Eager scored 28 seconds apart late in the second period against Michael Leighton.
And after the Flyers got a power-play goal from Simon Gagne early in the third, Niemi withstood a furious late flurry from the Flyers to preserve Chicago's seventh straight win.
"I thought their goaltender played extremely well in the third period. We had more than enough looks to tie up that game," Philadelphia coach Peter Laviolette said.
Niemi is 14-4 in the playoffs. Monday night's win was one of his toughest, especially with the Flyers peppering him late.
He has had the ability to follow a bad game during the playoffs with a good one.
"It's a great thing that it's been that way. I want to keep it that way later, too," he said. "But maybe it comes out of how I feel after the bad game or game allowing five or four goals. I don't know how it happens."
His teammates have a nickname for the 6-foot-2 Niemi, who at age 26 is playing in his first NHL season.
"We call him the octopus because he's got arms and legs going everywhere," Chicago forward Adam Burish said. "He was special tonight. Niemi was unbelievable in that third period. Some of the pucks, I don't know how he saw them."
Patrick Sharp fired a shot from the left circle, and after Leighton stopped it and with Chicago's Troy Brouwer battling for the puck, Hossa poked it in from the left side with 2:51 left in the second. Hossa, in his third straight Stanley Cup finals with a different team, got his third goal of the playoffs and first since May 5 against Vancouver in the conference semifinals.
"It bugged me definitely," Hossa said of his goal drought. "I tried not to get frustrated but I was waiting for something. Like I said, a garbage goal."
Just 28 seconds later with the crowd still abuzz, Dustin Byfuglien made a steal and passed the puck to fourth-line forward Eager. Eager skated to the right circle and unleashed a shot that beat Leighton high on the glove side to make it 2-0.
It was the first goal of the playoffs for Eager, a former Flyers forward, who did some yapping with defenseman Chris Pronger after the game.
"I don't speak that language, whatever he was speaking," Pronger said.
"Nothing, really, Just a postgame chat, it was nothing," Eager said. "He's just been picking the pucks up after the game. Told him he could keep it."

Gagne nearly chipped in a tying rebound about 7 minutes later, but was denied by Niemi's pad in close.
Leighton, who was drafted by the Blackhawks and played parts of two seasons for them, got the nod despite being pulled in Game 1 after yielding five goals on 20 shots. He made 24 saves Monday.
"We had a little turnover at the blue line. I talked to Matt Carle about it. He said his gap wasn't as good as he wanted it to be, so it allowed him to walk in," Leighton said of Eager's goal. "I just didn't see him release the puck. He made a good shot."
Hossa's shot went off his pad, and Hossa flipped it in. "Just a tough bouncer," Leighton said.
Trying to get more punch, the Flyers inserted forward Daniel Carcillo into the lineup. A scratch the last three games and known for his agitating style, Carcillo was the team leader in playoff penalty minutes (30) entering the game and joined Philadelphia captain Mike Richards and Jeff Carter on a first line that had been pointless in the opener.
Carcillo replaced Gagne to start the game - Gagne later returned to the top line - and immediately began to mix things up. He took a run at Chicago's Tomas Kopecky and inadvertently flattened teammate Carter.
The Flyers were called for their first penalty of the series with 5:12 left in the opening period, bringing out a loud roar from the crowd as the Blackhawks went on a power play for the first time in nearly 75 minutes. They couldn't score.
About three minutes later, Chicago went on another power play when there were three penalties called simultaneously - two on the Flyers with Carcillo being sent to the box for unsportsmanlike conduct.
But the Blackhawks couldn't convert, and the first period ended scoreless, quite a contrast from Game 1 when there were five goals in the opening 20 minutes. Outshot 17-9 in the first period of the opener, the Blackhawks had a 9-3 advantage in the rematch.
One of Chicago's best scoring chances came in front of the net as Toews tried to punch the puck in before he was wedged out by Pronger, who then shoved his Olympic teammate into the boards, prompting an angry exchange.
