http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Fox Sees Solid Numbers for Game One on NLCS- Fox Sports reports today that last night’s game one of the National League Championship Series between the Cardinals and Giants had a rating of 4.1 and an average audience of 6.8 million viewers. The rating is up 17% over the network’s coverage of game one of the ALCS last season. Game two is tonight beginning at 7:30p.m. ET. TBS Continues To See Strong Numbers for ALCS- Through two games, the American League Championship Series (ALCS) is averaging a 3.8 U.S. household rating and 6,110,000 total viewers. The number are up 92 percent among viewers and 90 percent in average rating compared with last year’s NLCS on TBS featuring the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers. South Carolina/Florida on CBS This Saturday- CBS Sports announced today that this week’s SEC college football match-up will pit South Carolina at Florida. Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson, and Tracy Wolfson have the call beginning at 3;30p.m. ET. TNT to Televise Two NBA Preseason Games- TNT will be the home to two NBA preseason games. This Thursday at 8:00p.m. ET Marv Albert, Steve Kerr, Mike Fratello, and David Aldgredge have coverage of the Celtics at Nets in Brooklyn. Next Thursday, October 25th at 10:00p.m. ET Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller, and Craig Sager will telecast the L.A. Clippers at Denver Nuggets. LaForce Joins Gottlieb on CBSSN’s Lead Off- CBS Sports announced today that Allie LaForce will join Doug Gottlieb on the CBS Sports Network’s (CBSSN) late night program Lead Off, which debuts next Monday night at midnight ET. LaForce previously worked for Fox 8 News in Cleveland, Ohio as a sports anchor, as well as a color analyst and sideline reporter for the regional sports network SportsTime Ohio. The duo will contribute this week on Rome. NBCSN Adds MLS Games- With the NHL in a lockout, the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) has added two MLS games to its broadcast schedule. Beginning this Wednesday the Seattle Sounders will host Real Salt Lake beginning at 10:00p.m. ET with Ross Fletcher and Kasey Keller on the call. Arlo White, Kyle Martino, and Russ Thaler will call next Wednesday’s (10/24) match between Sporting KC and the Philadelphia Union beginning at 8:30p.m. ET. Tim Brown Joins SiriusXM Radio- SiriusXM Radio announced today that former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown has joined the network as a college football and NFL analyst. Brown can be heard on SiriusXM College Sports Nation (channel 91) where he will host SiriusXM College Sports Today on Fridays (9:00 am – 12:00 pm ET) as well as College Football Sunday (Sundays, 9:00 am -12:00 pm ET). Brown will also host NFL Extra Points on SiriusXM NFL Radio (channel 88 on Sirius and XM Premier) every Sunday night (8:00 pm – midnight ET), recapping the games and interviewing star performers of the day.
