NASCAR Extends Television Rights Deal with Fox Sports

http://sportsmediajournal.com/page/2/ NASCAR and Fox Sports announced today that the network’s rights deal has been extended eight years and will ensure Fox the rights to NASCAR Sprint Cup races through 2022. The extension begins in 2015 when Fox will continue to telecast 13 opening season NASCAR Sprint Cup races, including the Daytona 500. Fox also retains the rights to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, the Daytona Shootout, the Duel at Daytona, the entire NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season and practice and qualifying for both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races that Fox broadcasts. Of the 15 race broadcasts, Fox Deportes will carry six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races live, including, for the first time ever, a Spanish-language broadcast of the Daytona 500.
